Nutcracker "Sweet"

We are so excited to introduce our new holiday line, the "Nutcracker Sweet"! Going to see the Nutcracker is one of the most magical things to do over the holidays! I was blessed enough to dance in it for many years. We have been talking about creating these special designs for quite some time now! We present you with Clara and the Nutcracker complete with a cupcake hat, the Sugarplum Fairy and The American Beauty Rose from Waltz of the Flowers!

The Nutcracker, is of course, based on Clara and the gift of a magical Nutcracker doll given to her by her godfather, Drosselmeyer. Clara is smitten with her doll, until it is promptly broken by one of the boys at the party. Drosselmeyer fixes it with a magical handkerchief, but Clara has no idea what is in store for her as she falls asleep with the Nutcracker under the Christmas tree that evening. As her adored Nutcracker doll turns into a prince they set on an unforgettable adventure.

Clara and the prince are drawn into a magical land of sweets, escorted by the Sugarplum Fairy!

During thier journey they are treated to a celebration of dances including "Waltz of the Flowers" featuring the American Beauty Rose! What a magical journey...or was it a dream? As the Nutcracker draws to a close Clara awakes under the Christmas tree with her cherished Nutcracker.

All of these designs will be available in our shop later today!

Ballerina Bakery Birthday Party Part 1

We are so excited to finally share some photos from our "Ballerina Bakery" birthday party with you! We created this party for my twins 4th birthday! Maia and Sophia are smitten with ballet right now, and what little girl doesn't love sweets...so we decided to combine the two and came up with a "ballerina bakery" theme! Our invitations were created especially for this party, we are really excited about them because they are great for any ballerina party and perfect for twins!
We had so much fun creating the actual party and even had my father in law build an actual bakery case for us to display the sweets in! We set it on top of a 3 foot card table covered with tulle and a sparkly pink table cloth. Above the table we hung a mixture of paper poms from Paperwhite Designs and paper lanterns from Luna Bazaar and a gorgeous pink fabric ruffle garland that our sweet friend Katie made for us. Above the case we hung a “Ballerina Bakery” hand-glittered letter garland.

We filled the case with cupcakes topped with hand-glittered “4” ruffled cupcake toppers that we made and mini pink chocolate ballet shoes, chocolate covered oreos, chocolate covered French palmiers, chocolate covered oversized marshmallows topped with the cutest “peppy toppers” from Potter and Butler, tiny tim cookies, the most beautiful ballerina cookies we have ever seen from JP Creatibles and delicious mini donuts from Dough A Deer! We also made hand-glittered scalloped food labels to go in front of each bakery item.

On top of the case we filled apothecary jars with pink, white and grey gumballs, mini marshmallow wands and pink rock candy. We made DIY tulle tutus to go around the apothecary jars and put a scalloped, glittered food label in the front of them. We also found the cutest pink eyelet bakery boxes so that they girls could fill them with extra treats to take home.

Come back tomorrow for more of our ballerina bakery party!!!

Land of Sweets

We were honored when our sweet friend, Tanya from Save the Date for Cupcakes, asked us to be part of a Sugarplum Fairy Sweet Table that she was designing to benefit Operation Shower! We were over the moon to have the chance to collaborate with Tanya, as she is such a talent, as well as to be part of something to benefit such an amazing cause! Since Tanya was creating a sugarplum fairy theme, our sugarplum fairy illustartion fit the bill perfectly! We created a letter garland that read "Land of Sweets", gift tags and food labels! We adore the crinkly lavender background, it gave such a wintery feel to the table! There were so many special elements that came together to make this table so beautiful; including the sugarplum cookies, the glittered reindeer cupcake toppers and the chocolate ballet shoes in iridescent wands! We can't thank Tanya enough for including us in such a lovely event and hope that you will all take a few minutes to read about Operation Shower, as it is such an wonderful organization!
