Sprinkled...
There is just something about sprinkles that makes us happy! Bright, colorful, festive and fun, they compliment sweet treats so perfectly! Hope you had a "happy weekend"!
Japanese Inspired...
We have always been inspired and intrigued by Japanese culture and tradition, especially with Kellie's sweet girls being part Japanese! We just feel in love with this gorgeous Japanese Mother's Day inspired photo shoot that we spotted on My Little Jedi. The colorful Chiyogami (Japanese paper) and gorgeous fabrics and colors used are just beautiful! We love the bento boxes and the brightly colored cupcake liners that held the festive Japanese candies! What a lovely way to serve tea...from a pink tea pot served with hand painted chiyogami pattern cookies and cupcakes. We have often thought about creating a "Japanese inspired" illustration, this may have just given is the inspiration we needed!

Peach Cupcakes
We love baking and making sweet treats as gifts. Finding a gorgeous tray or cake stand and filling it with cookies or cupcakes and even a little cake is the perfect hostess gift! For Easter we wanted to try a delicious cupcake with a spring flair! We just love peach and thought we would make peach cupcakes with peach buttercream! The peach frosting was such a pretty tone and we love the look of grey and peach together. So we took grey and white striped straws {from Sweet Lulu} and made little ribbon flags from a cream colored ribbon and stuck them in the peach cupcakes for a special Easter treat!

Charm City Cakes 2012 Wedding Collection
Did you ever watch Ace of Cakes on the Food Network!?! Duff and his create make the most outrageous, beautifully detailed cakes! When we came across "Charm City Cakes" 2012 wedding collection we were literally stunned at how classy, gorgeous and artistic they all were! We love the subtle, soft color palettes, the textures and dimensions of the cakes and of course the attention to detail...just perfection! WOW, is all we can say...what do you think of these fabulous edible creations, which one is your favorite!?!

DIY Bunny Munch Mason Jars
Can you believe that Easter is this weekend already!?! Well, we thought we would share a sweet little last minute project with you! These little bunny mason jars filled with "bunny munch" {white chocolate popcorn or kettle corn and mini marshmallows}. These would be such a cute gift to bring to your Easter hostess or even to put in your little one's Easter basket! Katie, our sweet DIY correspondent created this adorable bunny silhouette, that you can download here. Just print it out and trace it on to your favorite glittery paper, cut it out and glue it onto your jar. You can either line the jar's lid with ribbon or paper fringe. Then just fill it up with your favorite treat! You could use "bunny munch", jelly beans or whatever other sweet treat you like!

Sweet Pastel Palette
With spring in full bloom, what better time for using all of those gorgeous pastels! We just love the soft, dreamy, feminine feel of a pastel color palette. With Easter this weekend we thought we would do a little round up of some of the most beautiful pastel desserts and party decor for you to enjoy!
Beautiful Easter Egg Boxed Gifts
Easter is sneaking up on us so fast this year! There are so many great ideas out there for beautiful sweets and gifts and fun ways to fill up all of those Easter baskets! We across this post on Torie Jayne's blog and thought it was such a beautiful gift idea! She found these gorgeous turquoise egg boxes and filled them with shredded paper and gold wrapped chocolate eggs! We love how she put the eggs in little cupcake liners too! She even included a free lacey bunny printable for the top of the box! We think there are so pretty and would be such a sweet gift to give for Easter! {Please check out the entire diy and get bunny printable here}

Pomme d'amour
Have you seen the previews for all of the "Snow White" inspired movies coming out!?! Oh what a classic fairytale...one of our favorites! We are sure there will be lots of Snow White inspired parties popping up, and we can't wait to see them! {We are kind of obsessing over all of the stunning French baking blogs we have been coming across} We found this blog post by Carnets Parisiens on how to make these gorgeous candied apples! They are so pretty, we just love the dramatic red of the apples, the red and white twine wrapped around actual branches and the paper hearts, all of these fit perfectly into the details of the fairytale! These candied apples would make a lovely addition to a Snow White inspired party, don't you agree!

"Party Popcorn"
We are both iin love with white chocolate popcorn!! It is so tasty and super easy to make! We have made it for multiple sweet tables and even make it blue with Swedish fish in it for a "mermaid party"! We recently came across this blog post by, Amy of "She Wears Many Hats", for "Party Popcorn"! We just thought this was such a great idea...so festive and just screams BIRTHDAY! She even has a great DIY on how she makes it! We just thought her idea was simple, colorful and so much fun! Who would not jump for joy over receiving a bag of this! Or how about making mini bags filled with the party popcorn and filling up an apothecary jar with it for your next sweet table!?! Check out Amy's post and easy directions here!

Mini French Macaron Cupcake Toppers
You may know by now our love for French Macarons and of course our love for cupcakes! So we decided to combine the two in mini form! We were making some pink, shimmery macarons for a very special party tomorrow! We had a little bit of batter left and thought it would be so cute to pipe out some mini macarons just to see how the turned out! Well, we have to admit, they were too cute! So we popped them on some mini cupcakes with blue buttercream frosting and here is the result! How dainty would these look all lined up on a sweet table!?!
