DIY Winter Fairy Wands

Well the new year has officially begun! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday and that your new year is off to a fabulous start and will be filled with many joys! We are really excited about this year and can't wait to see what it holds. Last week the DIY party horns, that we created for Kate Lander's gorgeous New Year's Eve inspiration shoot on the front page of the Huffngton Post's craft section, which was such a thrill! Last Friday, we had the pleasure of sharing our DIY winter fairy wands on Babiekins blog!!
If you follow our blog regularly, you know how much we love creating DIY projects! One of our goals this year is to create at least one DIY project to compliment each of our paper party good collections. Our goal.in creating and sharing our parties has always been to show how you can throw a really pretty party at a reasonable cost! Since the winter season is upon us we created a fairy wand to compliment our winter fairy paper party goods. These wands would be so sweet to give as take home gifts, complete with a tag customized with each little fairy's name on it!

Material List
Hot glue
Scissors
Glittered felt pieces
Batting
Eyelash yarn in glittery silver and white
Long Lollipop sticks
Blue Satin Ribbon
Thin white Satin Ribbon
1. Print and cut out the star template {cut out two felt stars for each wand you are making.}
2. Hot glue the top and one side of the star. Through the opening, stuff the star with your batting. Once it is stuffed, hot glue the rest of the star together.
3. Take your glittery eyelash-style yarn, and hot glue it around the entire star.
4. Take your lollipop stick and add a small dab of hot glue on the bottom, then attach the end of your white eyelash-style yarn and start to wrap around until you reach the top. {You may need to add a few dabs of hot glue as you go.} Once you reach the top, add another dab of hot glue to the top and attach the rest of your yarn. You may need to trim some of the “eye lashes” if they are too long.
5. Take your covered stick and tie 4-6 pieces of various length white ribbon to the top, and tie your blue bow around around it {remember to leave about an inch and a half above the blue ribbon, so that you can hot glue the stick onto the back of the star}
You can add a customized fairy tag and give one to each little fairy!
