We are going to be taking a couple days off from blogging, we will be back Wednesday to share some great things with you. Some of you that have been following our blog for a while now know, we do not use our blog as an outlet for personal information or to share our faith. However, it is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we would like to share with you a very personal loss that we experienced this past week. Our very dear friend, Kevin lost his battle with pancreatic cancer this past Friday. You may remember last spring we created a card, “Fire Up A Cure” to support his family. Kevin was 33, was a beloved husband of a beautiful wife, Katie and an adored daddy of 2 darling girls, Stella age 3 and Evelyn age 1. Throughout his journey with cancer Kevin used his battle to share his unshakeable faith in God. He knew and accepted that this was God’s plan for his life. Katie and Kevin believed that God does not measure your age in years...but that He measures how long you should be here on earth in fulfilling the missions and purpose He has for your life. He was a blazing light for God and his light will shine forever in our hearts. Although his earthly life came to end all to soon, it is through the perfect salvation and grace that God offers us, that the trumpets sounded and the golden gates of Heaven opened for Kevin and he was made whole and perfect again. There he will build a home for his family, for they will join him again one sweet day.
What a heartbreaking story. My prayers go out to his family, wife and girls.
