The Luminous Portrait by Elizabeth Messina

We have been long time admirers of Elizabeth Messina. Her work is something of a fairy tale, the way she captures the most intimate moments in people lives with such beauty has astounded us since we discovered her blog a few years ago. We have had the absolute pleasure of getting to know her a little bit over the past years we have also been blessed enough to have her photograph some of our work, we have also been featured on her blog, kiss the groom...which may have been one of the highlights of our career so far ;) Recently, Elizabeth published her first book, 'The Luminous Portrait'. We were thrilled to receive our copy when it came out, it is filled with some of the most beautifully, romantic photos, wonderful words of wisdom and was truly a treat to read as it gives so much insight into her world of natural light and film photography.
What is a new book, without a launch party!?! This launch party, hosted by the amazing Mindy Weiss, was absolutely breathtaking and was put together so beautifully we could not pass up the opportunity to share it with you. It was styled with the most fabulous vintage decor from Found Rentals and filled with delicious treats from Cupcakes Couture of Manhattan Beach. There are so many things about this party that are just so delicate and feminine...from the way Elizabeth's gorgeous portraits are displayed behind the dessert table, to the ultra lovely cake, to the rustic yet elegant furniture. The whole ambiance of the party was perfect and beautifully photographed by Kristen Ellis. We want to congratulate Elizabeth on her book and thank her for the inspiration she has given us and so many others.

Frosted Photos...

One of the most popular items in our shop are our "frosted photo" cupcake flags, gift tags invitations and cards. We absolutely love creating them. Each and everyone is so unique, because they are made from personal photos! They are really great for first birthday parties with photos of your little ones first year, anniversary parties with photos of a couples life together and weddings with a couples engagement photos! Really, the possibilities are endless! We are over the moon when we get to create frosted photos with Elizabeth Messina's photography!! Her work is simply stunning and always lends itself perfectly to a little glitter! We had the amazing opportunity to create some frosted photo cupcake flags featuring Elizabeth's work in the past, that were featured on her blog, kiss the groom. We recently created some more cupcake flags and tags that turned out so pretty we just had to share.
