DIY ribbon and rosette wreaths!

We have been seeing the most adorable homemade wreaths! We love them, they are so simple yet so cute! So we decided to try one and we wanted to share our simple version with you. All you need is a styrofoam wreath, ribbon, paper, embellishments and a hot glue gun! You can do any color combination and any size that you want! These would be so adorable for Halloween or Christmas. It would be a great hostess gift to give over the holidays too!
Just take your styrofoam wreath and put a dab of hot glue on the back side and attach your ribbon to it. Start the wrap your ribbon around the wreath. If you run out of ribbon just glue the end of the ribbon to the back of the wreath and attach a new ribbon and start wrapping again.

Once you are finished with step one, put a dab of glue underneath the top of the wreath in the center and attach another ribbon. This will be the ribbon that you will hang the wreath from. You can choose a different color ribbon or use the same color. Make sure the ribbon is the same length on each side.
Take the two ends and just glue them under to create a clean edge.
So if you have been following us, you know we adore rosettes! They are so easy to make and can make such a big statement! We like to make 3 rosettes for the wreath, one large and two smaller ones. They are very simple to make. Just take a strip of paper and fold it accordion style. (For larger rosettes use a wider strip of paper for small use a thinner strip of paper) Hot glue the ends together and push the outer edges in to form your rosette. Turn the rosettes over and glue a little square of paper or ribbon onto the center, this will help hold the rosette together and keep it from popping up.

We like to double the rosettes with complimenting paper just to add some dimension.
Now you can add an embellishment to the center of the top rosette.
Just hot glue your rosettes onto your wreath you are done!

Depending on how you would like your wreath to hang you can sew or glue a little loop onto the back of the hanging ribbon.
