Chocolate Butterfly Cupcake Toppers

Last fall we showed you how to make some pretty simple chocolate decos to dress us your cupcakes. Today we just wanted to share a little spin on those designs! You can pretty much use this technique to make anything you want! We choose to make some little butterflies. You can print out your favorite design or freehand your design.
Just take some parchment paper and place onto a baking sheet. To do the outline (we used a parchment bag which gives a finer tip than a regular plastic piping bag) filled with melted chocolate. Simply pipe the outline of your designs. (If you are using a printed design just place it under the parchment paper and trace over it with your chocolate outline.)

After the outline had dried completely, take you colored melted chocolate and fill in as you please. We just filled in with pink and added a few mini sprinkles!

As soon as the designs are dried carefully peel them off the paper and add them to you cupcake or cake!

I LOVE these! They would look adorable for a little girls spring birthday party! If only I could draw the butterfly in step 1!! :) Maybe with practice!

You can always print out an image, place the parchment paper over the top & "trace" the image in chocolate.
