We wanted to share with you excatly how to make the little marshmallows cakes. They are so great to make for first birthdays.
After dipping, use another toothpick to hold the marshmallow down while you wiggle the top one out. There may be a little spot where there is no chocolate, just take a toothpick with some extra melted chocolate on it and cover the spot.
Let the chocolate dry completely. In the mean time pipe out little chocolate lines to be used as candles.
Let them dry and then go back and with yellow chocolate (wilton's yellow candy melts) add a dot at the top of the line, to create the lit candle look (make sure that it is attached to the line though).
Before the yellow part dries sprinkle yellow sugar crystals on it, this will make the candle sparkle! Make sure that the line of the candle is dry before you do this, otherwise the whole candle will have the sugar on it.
Make sure that your candle is competley dry before you go on the next step.
Now you are ready to dip the top part. You can dip the top into any color chocolate that you want, then before it dries just add some sprinkles.
As soon as you add your sprinkles attach your candle to the cake, you may have to hold it there for a few seconds so it dries upright.
Then you can either display them just like that or put them in mini cupcake liners! You can even put them on a lollipop stick and follow the same directions! Just stick the stick in syrofaom while they are drying.
