BHLDN's coming to Chicago!

We are both long time lovers of Anthropologie...we can pretty much tell you we adore anything that comes out of that store! Recently, Anthropologie started a bridal collection called BHLDN! And, YES we are smitten with it all!! We have been admiring everything on their website, it is full of gorgeous bridal attire, accessories, decor and more! We are super excited to say that the second BHLDN store front will be opening in downtown Chicago in a few weeks. Even more excited to say that we will be there for the grand opening!! We can hardly wait, it is going to be so exciting! And perhaps even MORE exciting, Darcy Miller of Martha Stewart Weddings will be in attendance!!! We can not wait to share the details of the event with you!!!

DIY ombre sugar hearts

So last week we fell in love with a gorgeous cake created by the amazing cake artist, Erica O'Brien! It was featured on The Wedding Chicks blog and lucky for us there was a DIY on how to create the ombre sugar hearts! We thought this was such a cute idea for Valentine's day, we just had to share! Those sugared hearts look pretty fabulous on that cake...don't you agree!?! {To see the DIY go here}

Sweet Designs: Bake It, Craft It, Style It...

Oh my goodness, we are so excited...we just pre-ordered our copy of Amy Atlas's new book, Sweet Designs: Bake It, Craft It, Style It!! We are really thrilled for Amy, as she has inspired countless people! She is the "Queen of the Sweet Table"! So many of us are simply in awe of her talent! Amy has created some of the most beautiful, imaginative sweet/dessert tables ever! Her eye for design, color and style is simply off the charts! Although, we have never had the pleasure of meeting her, from the interviews we have read she is incredibly humble and kind! Amy's blog, " Sweet Designs" is an amazing place for tons of inspiration, insight and advice for readers, from Amy herself! It has been an honor and thrill for us to have been featured on her blog a few times! Her new hard-cover book is filled with recipes, diy projects, style secrets, display advice and so much more!! This would make such a fabulous gift for anyone you know who loves to create parties and of course one for you too!! Good luck to Amy with the sale of your book, we know it will be a huge success!

Valentine's Sweets...{Baby Lifestyles Feature....Coming Soon}

Oh my...have we been busy!! We took a little break over Christmas and closed our shop, but when we reopened we got a bit overwhelmed with orders!! {Which is fabulous, but it makes it hard to keep up with facebook and our blog} We have also been busy working on something special for the February/March issue of Baby Lifestyles, where we will have an 8-page feature! We can not wait to share the photos with you, but in the mean-time we thought we would give you a little sneak peek! We also wanted to share with you that our original "La Patisserie" and "Sweet Shoppe" are back in our shop!

A Parisian Valentine's Day

For Christmas Kellie got me the most beautiful French "bon bon" cocktail napkins...{among other lovely things!} from Sur La Table...one of our favorite stores to spend all day in!! While searching for some Valentine gifts there, to our absolute delight Sur La Table's Valentine collection is perfectly Parisian!! There are so many gift possibilities, how is a girl to choose!?! Let is Snow...

{For some reason our "let it snow" post got deleted} We wanted to re-post it because we are going to be offering these new letter garlands in our shop. They are very similar to our current letter garlands but the edges of the crepe paper is also glittered...just to add a little more sparkle! Check out our Etsy shop for more information!

New to our Shop...

Valentine's Day is right around the corner! Can you believe it!?! We wanted our design for Valentine's Day to be something that we could offer all year long! As you may have noticed by our posts last week, we are loving the color combination of pink and gold...and if you follow us at all you know we adore Paris! So, our newest illustration is pink and gold French macarons in a bell jar! This design is offered in invitations, note cards, cupcake flags, tags, oversized cupcake flags and letter garlands! All of these are now being offered in our Etsy shop! We are going to give away a set of our note cards with this illustration...all you have to do is leave us a comment and we will choose a winner at random on Wednesday and announce on Facebook! These would be a perfect gift to give your sweet valentine!!

A Vintage Winter "One-derland" Birthday Party

Seri and Michelle of "Little Miss Party" recently sent us photos of the most gorgeous first birthday party! The theme was a "vintage winter one-derland"! We were immediatly swooning over the delicate, feminine, pink, soft gold, ivory and burlap brown color palette! The party took place in a fabulous loft that overlooks downtown Manhattan. Seri and Michelle set up a winter picnic area where they served a beautiful brunch...by the way we adore the fabric garland featuring all of the highlighted colors. They served winter crudite in glass cubes that they covered with burlap fabric and pretty ribbon. The drink station featured a garland of photos of the birthday girl's first year. And what party would be complete without a dessert table!?! It was complete with hot chocolate, gold dusted cake pops, mini cupcakes, chocolate covered pretzels, s'mores pops, deulce de lece meringues, white powdered donuts, peppermint covered and snowflake shaped pretzels and chocolate covered Oreos! Sounds like quite a spread! They sent thier guests home with "1" chocolate lollipops made by vintage confections! Congratulations ladies, you created a gorgeous, memorable party for Colette, the sweet little birthday girl!!!

Happy Birthday Kellie

Today is Kellie's birthday! I want to wish her the "sweetest" birthday yet!I want to share a little bit about who Kellie is with you. She is constantly inspiring and encouraging me in all aspects of my life! She is one of the most selfless, thoughtful, faithful and positive people I have ever met. She is humble, even though her creativity and talent is beyond amazing! She is a phenomenal mother and wife, she inspires me to be better everyday! She in every sense of the word a blessing in my life. When we started Icing together, we had no idea where it would take us. So far it has been such an amazing ride and has only brought us closer together. It is so amazing to be able to do what you love so much everyday but to be able to share it with someone is the best party by far! So happy birthday to my sweet sweet friend! I can not tell you how much I love you and cherish our very special friendship! xoxo

We literally can not believe that Christmas has come and gone and we are already onto Valentine's Day! We have been working on something really special this year, that we can not wait to share with you! {Of course, it has a little Parisian twist!} As for now, we are bringing back our "Owl Love You Forever" collection! Owls are really popular this year and this illustration is perfect for Valentine's day or a birthday celebration! Its really girly, glittery and super sweet!
