My Sweet and Saucy Sweet Yellow Dessert Table

We are HUGE fans of My Sweet and Saucy! Kellie actually introduced them to me a while back. She sent me an amazing Twilight photo shoot that they did. I have to admit it took my breath away a little bit, and now I'm hooked! I wish we could feature everything that they have done on our blog! But for now, we would love to share with you this beautiful buttery yellow dessert table they created for a recent dessert only wedding reception! Aren't these photos by Nicole Hill Gerulat just beautiful! We are so inspired by all of these talented ladies!

Beautiful Paris Inspired Party

We are throwing my twin girls a "Springtime in Paris" party this May for their third birthday. We came across this amazing party inspiration a few months ago and we just knew we had to share it with you! It is from an issue of Marie Claire Idées.

These fabulous cakes are from Lenotre, Laduree and Fauchon. The amazing quilt is from Le Bon Marché and the cake appliqués are by Héléne Le Berre.

The dots on this slipcover were hand-painted and the cake is a printed textile swatch that was sewn on. The boxes are from Laduree. Aren't the colors just perfect!

These hanging sweets are cardboard cutouts that were hand-painted and hung from silk ribbon. These just add such a sweet yet elegant touch!

These are inexpensive white dessert plates that were hand-painted. They are so beautiful placed on the larger gold plates!

These little knife rests (and other pastries) are made out of fimo dough, and then hand-painted.

What great inspiration for a Paris themed party!!!

Tweet Charlotte's Party!

About a month ago we shared a birdie, cupcake and cherry blossom invitation with you for sweet Charlotte's first birthday party! Well, this past weekend was her party! We created a birdie and cherry blossom sweets table, and it was perfect to tie in with the spring season that is in full bloom!

I think our favorite part of the table was the centerpiece! We made it out of real branches and fabric cherry blossoms. We placed a little blue bird in the tree branches to match the invitation...and we even made him a little party hat!

We created a glittery letter garland that said "Tweet Charlotte" to hang across the front of the sweets table. We love letter garland, especially for first birthdays! It is so cute to hang the baby's name in the nursery after the party!

What party is complete without cupcakes! We made mini cupcakes, half of them had a little cherry blossom tucked in the side and the other half had the cupcake flags we made to match the invitations. We also made little glittered tent cards to go in front of each sweet!

These little cookies were almond meltaways. We sugared them to give a glittery effect and then piped a cherry blossom on top!

We dipped marshmallows in pink chocolate and sprinkled them with little white non-perils.

We wanted everyone to be able to take home a little "thank you for coming" gift, so we made little blue bird cookies and my fabulous aunt made little blue bird chocolate lollis! (Find a sampling of her fabulous chocolates on Esty or email her at thecraftdiva@gmail.com if you are looking for something special!)

The birthday girl looked just adorable! She is so sweet....and she was even "sweeter" after she dug into her little cherry blossom smash cake we made her!

Happy First Birthday Miss Charlotte! May all of your birthdays be as "sweet" as you are!

P.S. Thank you SO much, Chris and Kim, for letting us share these pictures of Charlotte's birthday! xoxo
